Based in a leafy suburb of Leeds, Matthew Robson is a British cartoonist and animator whose cheerful style and fun characters bring a sense of exuberance to his client’s projects. He has the experience and know-how to bring a brief to life and excite his audience, which is a key asset on any creative project.
Trained at Jacob Cramer Art College (now the Leeds College of Art), Matthew has worked in several video production and animation companies, which has sharpened his understanding of his clients’ expectations and processes. He’s always been passionate about illustration, animation and film, and one of his mottos is ‘the geekier the better’. Manga comics, Blake’s 7, Doctor Who, Terry Gilliam, Saul Bass and Ralph Steadman are all sources of inspiration.

Whether still or animated, Matthew’s style is very graphic, with strong lines giving each image its structure and expressiveness. His look is clean and clear, often featuring bold colors alongside subtle texturing to generate a sense of volume.
