At the heart of the commission is a 3-metre tall internally lit inflatable ibis - affectionately known in Australia as the 'bin chicken' - perched proudly atop a wheelie bin.\u003C\u002Fp>\r\n\u003Cp>Chrissy's characterful design blends public art with local humour, brought to life through a custom 7-minute soundscape created by Abbott using the ambient sounds of Kogarah and its surrounds.\u003C\u002Fp>\r\n\u003Cp>The result is a synchronised light and sound experience that&rsquo;s equal parts irreverent and immersive, celebrating place, identity and the oddball charm of suburban Sydney.\u003C\u002Fp>","\u002Fnews\u002F6563\u002Fking_bin_chicken","2025-07-03T13:10:00"]
