Alison Hansen Live Events

Based in Warwickshire, Alison works across Britain, meeting the needs of global brands wanting to build engagement with their customers and contacts. As well as bringing creativity, excitement and a special experience for guests, having a live illustrator creates a talking point. Guests receive a keepsake, and they’ll often share the experience on social media, amplifying the brand as they do so. Trained at the University of Westminster in Fashion Design, Alison worked in the industry in the US for 12 years before returning to the UK to become a fashion illustrator. She has honed her 10-minute sketching and painting skills to create imagery that is stylish, iconic and imbued with motion and personality.

Approach

Prior to an event, Alison researches the company she’s working with to understand the energy and style of the brand. She practises sketching to prepare for each event, and on the day delivers pieces in roughly 10 minutes, focusing on the unique features and style of each sitter. Her key media are pen and ink and watercolours.

Style

Alison’s images are colourful and whimsical, with energy and personality. Her style is consistent with her commissioned fashion illustration work, but with more instinctive and dynamic strokes to reflect the feeling of the moment.
