The design shows a vision of Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland which is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world and forecast to reach a population of 2.43 million by 2050. Arup's role was to help the city plan for a resilient and prosperous future, so they developed a roadmap, illustrated by Greg that uses the Te Ao Māori values and interweaves ideas, innovation, culture and identity. Greg's final piece balances icons of The Outdoors with an optimistic and urban feel.
