How do you picture something that exists across feeds, forums and algorithms? That was the challenge facing Wenjing when she was commissioned by Smith Quarterly to create an illustration for an article examining the online manosphere, its influence, and how feminist thought can help make sense of it.
Rather than searching for a single symbol to represent the manosphere, Wenjing approached it as a network of ideas, influences and behaviours.
