Originally from Japan and now based in Los Angeles, Yuka has a style ideally suited to high-end fashion and beauty brands launching new collections and retail promotions. Visitors are thrilled to see her draw, and receiving a personalised keepsake by an experienced fashion illustrator builds engagement, awareness, loyalty and a priceless emotional connection with the host’s brand. Previously a designer working in fashion, Yuka has a strong awareness of the industry and what makes each brand special. She practices daily to explore new styles and keep her skills sharp. As well as fashion events she draws live at corporate parties, press launches, brand activations, weddings and more.

Approach

To prepare for an event, Yuka learns as much as she can about her client, the brand’s personality and the concept behind the event. Depending on what the client is looking for, she can adapt the format, style and template, and can add guest names to illustrations on request. She works in watercolour, ink, acrylics and mixed media.

Style

Yuka’s live event illustrations are intuitively drawn, expressively capturing the unique essence of each guest in a style that is feminine, elegant and refined.
