Combining elements from nature with vibrant colours and whimsical characters and settings, Filipino artist Alyssa De Assis crafts stunning illustrations that always have a unique, light-hearted feel. “I just love incorporating flowers, leaves and other types of plants into my illustrations, and it fascinates me to create new worlds that are strongly influenced by nature,” she says. With a background as a graphic designer and experience working in digital agencies, Alyssa knows the ropes from both the client and the artist’s perspective. It was her lifelong love of drawing that led her to become a freelance illustrator, which to her is a life of happiness expressing herself through her creativity. When she’s not drawing or taking photos, she loves to travel and explore new cultures.
