Chris Corr lives in the heart of the old City of London, and loves exploring the area. In fact, he loves cities in general – particularly ones where old meets new such as New York, Delhi, Shanghai and Berlin. He also enjoys looking at architecture, all the way from stone huts through to modernist structures by Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Paul Rudolph, Richard Neutra, Louis Kahn and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Christopher was born in London and studied at The Royal College of Art. His round the world travels provide much inspiration for his work. His first trip to India resulted in a one person show entitled "Wel-come To India" which was followed by a book and a short BBC TV film of the same name. The Royal Mail sent him to Bosnia to paint SFOR ,the Peace-Keeping troops for a commemorative stamp in the Millennium Stamps Project. He has recently worked on a short animation with Sherbet in London. I work in a traditional way, paint on paper, usually gouaches on hand-made Italian or Indian paper. I like to travel and paint and that really inspires me in my work. I've just returned from a trip to India. It's where I discovered colour.
