Peepal Tree and Arunachala Mountain

This was a commissioned piece for a devotee of Ramana Maharishi. They asked for a large framed illustration to decorate a prayer room in their new home. The composition is designed to aide a meditative state: it balances the energy and tranquility of the Peepal tree with a sense of scale and distance, drawing the viewer into the landscape surrounding the Arunachala holy mountain.
