Turine Tran

Turine is a naturally talented artist. Influenced by some of the great book illustrators, like Arthur Rackham and Brian Froud, she has developed her own unique, truly beautiful and timeless style. I have hired Turine to illustrate my project; a series of highly personalised, picture book experiences, called The Dream Keeper, where the illustration animates on screen first, before being professionally printed as a physical book. Despite neither of us having done anything quite like this previously, Turine has approached the project with enthusiasm, proffered many ideas and found solutions. She is great to work with, happy to put in the hours, when needed, easy to communicate with and she takes art direction very well. If you are looking for a highly talented artist to illustrate your project, then I recommend Turine for not only will she exceed your expectations, but she will do this with a touch of magic.

I worked with Turine Tran on a complex revision of a Reading Series, and it was a wonderful experience. Her unique style brought a fresh and delicate look into the series, and complemented other styles we were using. Turine’s work captured the gentle and sensitive feeling and aesthetic needed for her literature selection. She mastered the varying perspectives that were needed to illuminate the story, and maintained consistency of color and facial expressions across the story’s complicated transitions of time and place.
