Library & Beyond

Rohan Eason brings new life to Michiko Aoyama’s beloved stories for Penguin, illustrating both a heartwarming sequel and a refreshed young readers edition.

Following his work on the multi-million-selling What You Are Looking For Is in the Library, Rohan was invited by Penguin to illustrate the sequel, The Healing Hippo of Hinode Park.

The project inspired Rohan to create gentle, heartwarming illustrations that complement the story’s kindness which were a joy to draw. In parallel, he revisited the young readers edition of What You Are Looking At Is in the Library, expanding his original characters and adding new visual moments to the story.

Both commissions showcase Rohan’s ability to deepen narrative worlds through sympathetic and playful illustration, reinforcing his lasting connection to Michiko’s stories and engaging readers old and new alike.
