Undead in Italy

Spanish illustrator Andreu was commissioned to create the cover artwork for Be Still My Unbeating Heart, a vampire romance and mystery set in a small Italian village, published by Penguin Random House.

The brief called for something light-footed yet shadowed, holding humour, flirtation and a thread of fantasy in the same frame. Andreu's composition leans into charm without losing its bite, showing the undead protagonist within an atmosphere of sun-warmed intrigue.

Designed for a September release, the cover positions the novel as both playful and suspenseful, signalling fangs and romance in equal measure.
