Macon Guide

Laura Greenan brings colour and rhythm to the 2026 Visit Macon travel guide with a cover illustration and city map.

Commissioned for the 2026 visitor guide to Macon, Georgia, the project brings together a front cover illustration and a detailed city map designed to welcome travellers at first glance.

The cover unfolds as a springlike collage, where bright skies and cherry blossoms frame architectural landmarks including the historic Hay House. A thread of musical heritage runs through the imagery, nodding to the city’s place as the birthplace of Otis Redding. Inside, an illustrated map continues the same branded colour palette while charting key locations across the city, with particular attention to Macon’s recently renewed green spaces.

Rendered in Laura’s psychedelic, textured marker-pen style, the artwork gives the guide a sense of movement and character, turning orientation into invitation.
