ITALO Maps

Megan has been working on a series of maps and icons for ITALO: Culture and Dining in Italian Australia, a new book by travel writer Cristian Bonetto.

The guide explores Australia's Italian communities, taking readers through cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide with curated walking routes, local history and recommendations for food, shops and cultural landmarks.

For Megan, the project was an opportunity to research and illustrate many of the places featured in the book. She particularly enjoyed creating the maps of Sydney and Haberfield/Five Dock, a neighbourhood she once called home, and revisiting familiar landmarks through her drawings.

ITALO will be published in September 2026.
