Svetlana has vast experience working in the creative industries as a graphic designer but her passion for illustration, illumination and calligraphy is what drives her. Book covers, packaging, home décor – clients come to her for a whole range of projects requiring ultra-premium treatment.

Approach
You won’t find an artist with a process more authentic than Svetlana’s. She creates everything by hand using traditional materials – paper, parchment, watercolours, sheet and shell gold, silverpoint, brushes and nibs. Her paints are made with natural pigment, and every detail is considered from the earliest sketches. By glazing her watercolours with translucent layers, she builds volume with each stroke to capture the effect of medieval lighting.Style

Household Words Publishing has been collaborating with Svetlana Molodchenko since July 2022. She was commissioned to design the cover and inner design of the publishing house’s first book and a literary, illustrated Journal. She has been providing outstanding beautiful designs and decorations and artistic insights to both projects she has been working on. Svetlana not only exhibits unique creative talents but shows devotion and interest in her entrusted tasks. Every piece of art presented to our attention has never failed to amaze us with its brilliance and beauty. The originality of her ideas come clearly from a passionate and talented artist who pours her heart into the projects she is commissioned with. Every line has a charm, which always seems to have been carefully studied beforehand. For our first publication, the project was challenging; with illustrations being handled by another artist, Svetlana had to develop a design that matched the other’s art style and highlighted the requested vintage vibe of the fine edition. She successfully achieved the goal.
