Originally from Australia but currently based in England, Tanya has a diploma in Illustration from NMIT in Melbourne and an advanced diploma in Graphic Design from Enmore Design Centre in Sydney. She’s travelled the world, living in places as varied as Vietnam and Berlin. Meeting new people and trying new things feeds her creativity alongside her love of nature and the peace it offers.
Tanya uses a Mac to blend handmade pencil drawings and textures with found and bought imagery. She likes to have fun while she works, and her palette is very bright, dominated by pastel colours.
There are two main types of work in Tanya’s portfolio. Her drawings feature naïve line work, with a light and fun look and feel. Meanwhile, she loves mixing the old and new in her collage work, giving fresh meaning to existing images, collecting unexpected items together to generate an interesting narrative or push an unusual concept.
