Heather Landis creates an illustration for the Oberlin College Alumni Winter issue on legal pioneer Robert Adler.

Heather's piece was created for an article in the magazine on the legal pioneer who defended victims of gender discrimination and helped define such concepts as 'hostile work environment'. One of his clients, Mabel King, successfully sued when she was passed over for promotion by someone who was having a sexual relationship with her supervisor. "The case established you can't make a promotion decision based on a personal or sexual relationship... it was a huge advancement". Read the article here.
