Jan Meininghaus - Roman graphique et illustrateur de pin-up. Allemagne

En 1989, le jeune artiste allemand Jan Meininghaus a été payé 50 DM pour créer le logo d'un groupe, et il n'a pas regardé en arrière. Depuis lors, il réalise des affiches rock, des couvertures de magazines, des flyers, des t-shirts, des decks de skate, des bandes dessinées, des illustrations publicitaires et des storyboards. Il a travaillé avec toute une gamme de marques mondiales, d'Audi à GQ.
Travaillant depuis son studio dans la campagne allemande, Jan est influencé par la culture pop américaine, le mouvement Lowbrow, le graffiti, le concept et l'art fantastique, s'inspirant de Frank Frazetta, HR Giger, Robert McGinnis, Drew Struzan et Frank Miller. Mais c'est l'imagination et les compétences artistiques habiles de Jan qui se reflètent dans les illustrations originales qu'il crée pour chaque client.

Approche

Travailler avec ses mains et de vrais matériaux est ce que Jan aime le plus et les encres et les pinceaux sont ses principaux supports, mais il utilise également un Mac et est heureux de livrer des œuvres d'art numériquement.

modes

Jan travaille dans une gamme de styles, selon le dossier et les besoins de son client. Son style de bande dessinée va de l'aspect lisse, propre et basé sur les lignes à des images de style roman graphique plus granuleux. Il est adepte de la création d'illustrations au crayon monochrome, la peinture numérique est un forté, et il est particulièrement bon quand il s'agit d'un look aérographe. Enfin, il a sa propre marque de peinture acrylique, qu'il utilise souvent pour l'art de couverture rock n roll.
