Camila Gray is an illustrator based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, whose work is vibrant and cheerful, full of colour and full of life. Naturally curious, she approaches each brief with a desire to find out as much as she can about her client, the project and the intended audience. As a result, she delivers unique and impactful artwork every time.
Travel and understanding other cultures are two of Camila’s passions, feeding her ideas for her drawings and avenues of research for her projects. Pop culture, music and street fashion are all interests of hers, and she likes to choose from a mix of styles. She also loves horror movies.
Camila has had a successful career in graphic design and studied illustration at SVA in New York. One of her new endeavours is to express her political views in her artwork.
Beginning with a mood board, Camila pulls together a wide range of references and starts experimenting. She seeks out a striking and original colour palette, alongside fresh textures. Although she’s trained with natural media, today Camila paints in Procreate.
Camila’s style is very diverse. She’s as happy creating realistic detail as bold, graphic works for her clients. However, her work is always vibrant and colourful, with a touch of whimsy to catch the imagination.
Camila has worked for clients including Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Nike, Boticário, Davene, Koleston, UOL and WWD magazine.
