Government Psychiatric Home Interior in Bangalore

A Day In the Life of Ananya: I drew these panels charting a day in the life for a resident in a government psychiatric home in Bangalore. This was for of a wider publication by the NGO Nivasa, charting the conditions and experience of government care homes across India. I wanted to capture not only the claustrophobic and crowded conditions of the homes themselves, but also the warmth, resilience and camaraderie that exists between residents and staff who call these institutions home.
