Rushdie's Review

The Guardian ask Kathryn Rathke for one of her distinctive portraits showing Salman Rushdie and the President of the USA.

The artwork appeared on the front cover of their book review section last weekend and makes for a striking portrait. It illustrates a feature on Rushdie writing about America so the design team wanted Trump incorporated in the illustration somehow, Kathryn came up with the idea of the snow globe with black snow, a triumph all round.
