LOVE Mexican Food

Palm Springs Life Magazine commission Lee Hodges to create a celebratory illustration for their cover on Mexican cuisine.

A love of Latin American art and culture made Lee a great choice for this project, which tells the readers where to find excellent Mexican food within the Palm Springs area.

Lee explains, "I figured the best way to represent this was with my interpretation of a ‘Milagro’ - Mexican heart/Corazon. The heart holding the handwritten text holds everything together, I wanted to express the energy and colours of the foods and place around the heart."

Lee's piece exudes a passion, not only for the food but Mexican life, using symbolic objects and bespoke lettering.
