Bristol-based illustrator Becca has crafted a series of evocative linocuts that immerse readers in Agnes Hathaway’s world of plants, bees, and rural mysticism.

Her five full-page illustrations, along with botanical drop caps and a gilded funeral wreath on the sage linen slipcase, intertwine with Maggie O’Farrell’s poignant narrative to highlight themes of love, loss, and the natural cycle of life.

The artwork beautifully complements the edition’s tactile, screen-printed design, enhancing the reader’s experience of Shakespeare’s son through a contemporary lens of folklore-inspired imagery.
