Job Hunt

Hao Hao maps the search for work in bold spreads for Brio magazine.

Hao Hao was commissioned by Brio magazine to create three full-page illustrations for an editorial exploring the realities of job hunting.

Working in a bright, playful style, she uses bold colour and careful composition to make the subject feel open and inviting. She frames the search as an active pursuit: a solitary figure armed with a net and binoculars scans the landscape, attempting to spot and capture elusive opportunities.

Flat colour, elongated forms, and carefully spaced elements give the spreads a strong graphic clarity, while sticky notes, papers, and job-related symbols thread the imagery together like a visual map.
