For the Autumn issue of American Theatre, Laura Greenan creates a map-based illustration for the article A Tale of Three Cities.

A map of the United States provided the starting point for Laura's latest editorial commission. Created for A Tale of Three Cities, the illustration places theatrical spotlights on Los Angeles, Atlanta and Washington DC, surrounding each with stylised architecture and location-specific details including flowers, palm trees and native fruits.

The client requested a colourful image, a brief well suited to Laura, with swirling shapes and ornamental details helping tie the three locations together.
