Tree Topper
Gail Armstrong's fabulous paper sculpted tree topper adorns an 18ft Christmas tree.
Gail was commissioned by Erie Insurance in Philadelphia to create a Christmas tree topper for their enormous tree which is displayed in the atrium of their office building. Gail says "(The client) sent me pictures and architect’s plans of the building as well as a mood board of the types of baubles and ornaments they intended to use. From these I designed and built a 3ft high tree topper based on the cupola with an explosion of flourishes at the base so it flows into the rest of the tree. The flourishes and the details on the cupola pick up on the details in the ornaments."
