Dinner Guests

Kathryn Rathke illustrates for Johns Hopkins Magazine on their alumni's ideal dinner guests.

With her strong talent for creating portraits, Kathryn was tasked with illustrating a fellow's perfect dinner party including their chosen guests, dead or alive. This particular fellow chose Bruce Springsteen, Willie Mays, Roger Angell, and Johnny Carson around a table deep in conversation and laughter, Kathryn comments, "This was a really fun assignment; all 4 have great faces, particularly Willie Mays, and it afforded an excuse to reminisce about evenings watching Johnny Carson, he was such wonderful goof."
