Martha von Maydell - Artiste de papier international. Allemagne

L'illustratrice berlinoise Martha von Maydell conçoit des images papercraft si tactiles que les gens veulent les toucher et les toucher. Des plumes, des flocons de neige, des feuilles et bien plus figurent dans bon nombre de ses meilleures pièces, mais elle est suffisamment polyvalente pour tout créer, des êtres humains aux fusées. Chaque composant est méticuleusement découpé dans du papier, et chaque illustration assemble la couleur, la forme et la texture de manière unique et inspirante.
Les plantes et les animaux sont des sources d'inspiration clés pour Martha. Après avoir étudié le graphisme, elle a travaillé dans un studio et avant de devenir illustratrice, elle a été assistante de production sur la série CGI TV Super 4, inspirée des jouets Playmobil.

Approche

Tout ce que Martha crée est découpé dans du papier coloré et collé. Elle aime non seulement former les images à partir des formes, mais les construire de sorte que les contours et les ombres soient clairs, donnant à l'œuvre beaucoup de texture et donc beaucoup plus de présence physique. Parfois, elle utilise un peu de poudre de craie pour créer des transitions de couleurs, apportant une autre dimension à l'approche papercraft.

Style

Le style de Martha est décoratif, saisissant, coloré et plein de détails. Elle le garde unique en ajoutant de nouvelles techniques et cherche constamment de nouvelles idées à adopter dans son travail.
