The Fairy House

Agnes Ernoult produces an exquisite artwork illustrating a poem for Ladybug Magazine.

Ladybug Magazine is aimed at 3-6 year olds in the US and is a literary publication full of stories and adventure. Agnes was asked to use her beautiful, narrative illustration skills for a poem entitled the Fairy House, it reads:

Come and see, in my backyard,
What Mommy and I made—
A fairy house of twigs and leaves
Hidden in the shade!

We planted daisies close behind
And violets galore.
We put a “Welcome, Fairies” sign
Beside the little door.

Each day I check my fairy house
To see if they’re inside.
I’m sure they’ve come, but when I look
They always seem to hide.
