Alchemy Theatre commission Rachel Winter for poster art to illustrate their latest production.

The Paris-based theatre company are presenting a feminist telling of Shakespeare’s comedy, The Taming of the Shrew.

The client desired a cohesive set of icons that would collectively narrate the profound tale of coercive control, abusive relationships, misogyny, and, ultimately, the triumphant reclamation of power, with Rachel's vibrant and playful aesthetic.
