Some seasonal illustrations for a poignant book

Four Seasons in Japan

Working for Penguin, Rohan Eason puts his hand to some seasonal illustrations for a poignant book by Nick Bradley.

“Four Seasons in Japan” is out later this year and is a novel about literature, purpose and what it is to belong.

Rohan's brief was to illustrate the same garden during the four seasons of the year, "A simple but intriguing task", he says. "I tried to imagine how I would feel, opening up the shoji doors to the air of Spring, the heat of summer, wind of autumn and cold of winter. There is something beautiful to behold in each season, and I chose the cat to be the physical representation of our moods throughout the year."
