This city is known for its industrial tradition, particularly in the production of hats and footwear, and recognised in Portugal as the 'Capital of Footwear.' What better place to host an exhibition showcasing the illustrations of António and his many artworks from the footwear of national and international designers - illustrations that have featured in major international publications such as The New Yorker, Marie Claire, and Vogue.

 

António says, "I'm the first illustrator to be invited to exhibit so it was interesting to see my work in a museum as a form of art. It will be showing in the museum for one year!"
