A Hair-Raising Cityscape

Thies Schwarz captures the essence of Hamburg in a playful mural for Schwarzkopf's House of Hair.

Thies has brought the city of Hamburg to life with an imaginative illustration which spans an impressive 7 by 7 metres. The artwork transforms the café area of "House of Hair" into a vibrant cityscape filled with witty nods to hair culture.

From King Kong sporting a stylish do to references to Hair Metal and the Beatles’ iconic mop tops, the scene cleverly intertwines Hamburg's landmarks and the theme of hair.

Designed in crisp black and white to complement the bold blue staircase and colourful chandelier, the mural captures the spirit of the city with humor and charm.

Created digitally in Adobe Illustrator, Thies' piece invites visitors to spot quirky details, including a subtle tribute to the company’s founder.
