Fungi and Fretwork
For Nucleus Gallery’s 40th Anniversary group exhibition in Alhambra, Parakid creates a striking piece inspired by The Last of Us.
Blending natural textures with human presence, Parakid placed a lone guitarist beneath the towering form of a fantastical fungus, echoing the game’s balance of fragility and resilience.
The linework and organic watercolour palette bring a quiet lyricism to the subject, capturing both the beauty and haunting atmosphere of the world Naughty Dog has built.
