Building Hope

Gail Armstrong designs the cover image for The Carter Center’s annual report.

London-based paper artist Gail has created a richly layered cover for The Carter Center’s annual report, bringing the not-for-profit’s mission of “Waging Peace, Fighting Disease, Building Hope” to life.

The design needed to adapt across both vertical and horizontal formats, while leaving space for the logo and key copy. Gail responded with a dreamlike paper landscape in the organisation’s corporate blue, anchored by a radiant sun formed from the logo and illuminated with positive rays.

Around it, vibrant cameos highlight the Center’s global initiatives in health, democracy, women’s rights and conflict resolution, an imaginative and uplifting visual encapsulation of its far-reaching impact.
