Juliet created a loose greyscale map of Château de Chenonceau and its surrounding town for The Night War, a middle-grade novel by New York Times bestselling and two-time Newbery Honor author Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.
Commissioned by Dial, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, and published in April 2024, the illustration immerses readers in the story’s wartime setting – the castle straddling the River Cher, symbolising the fragile divide between fear and freedom in World War II France.
Juliet’s atmospheric cartography balances historical accuracy with narrative warmth, grounding the reader in a place where courage and compassion intertwine.
