Roman Summer

Pepes goes classical with a modern twist, thanks to Diego Abreu.

Brazilian illustrator Diego has transformed the walls of Melbourne’s Pepes with a striking mural for the restaurant’s seasonal visual identity, Roman Summer.

Drawing inspiration from the Italian Renaissance, Diego combines classical gestures and period fashion with contemporary touches, like a Vespa tucked into the scene, while featuring some of the restaurant’s own employees.

The foreground nods to Pepes’ building, blending local architecture with Roman ambiance, creating a visually rich narrative that works both as an immersive wall installation and a central element in the brand’s promotional campaigns.
