Brazil's Diego Abreu has created the evocative cover for Bring One Home: A Memoir of Boyhood, Basketball, and Hometown Spirit, the debut memoir by Thomas L. Pelissero.
Commissioned to visually capture the book’s reflective and nostalgic tone, Diego drew inspiration from the author’s memories and the story’s 1960s Upper Peninsula setting, channeling a Norman Rockwell–inspired style.
The cover depicts a quietly poetic scene, combining subtle composition and light-infused detail to evoke warmth, simplicity, and a sense of place.
Published in the U.S. by Sellar Street Boys Publishing, Diego's artwork complements the memoir’s underdog story of the Bessemer Speedboys, enhancing the reader’s first encounter with this heartfelt tale of community, hope, and determination.
