Ing Lee brings movement rhythm and rails to TV Globo Plim

Plim Plim, Southbound

Ing Lee channels rhythm, rails and cultural layers into TV Globo’s Plim Plim.

Commissioned by Agência Ole Interactive for TV Globo, Ing was invited to reinterpret the broadcaster’s instantly recognisable Plim Plim as a special edition marking São Paulo’s 472nd anniversary.

Her response centres on the city’s south side, presenting a layered portrait where metro lines, music and neighbourhood life overlap. Rather than flattening the area into a single symbol, Ing’s illustrations lean into plurality, reflecting the cultural density and creative energy that define the region.

The result translates a fleeting sonic cue into a visual rhythm, giving the familiar vignette a renewed sense of place and contemporary weight.
