Ing was commissioned by Simon & Schuster to create the cover for The Ex-Boyfriend’s Favourite Recipe Funeral Committee, a novel that blends heartbreak, food, and quiet reinvention.

The story follows Momoko, newly dumped and emotionally adrift, who discovers that cooking dishes tied to lost relationships can soften grief and open space for connection.

Ing’s cover hints at intimacy and ritual, mirroring the book’s gentle balance of humour and melancholy while inviting readers into a space where loss is acknowledged, shared, and slowly transformed.
