Science of Sparks

Love can be difficult to explain, which made it an intriguing subject for Jacob's editorial commission. Working with Virginia Living, he created the main illustration and several spot artworks for "The Science Behind Sparks", a feature bringing together perspectives from children, couples and experts on one of life's most enduring questions.

Drawing on his bold use of colour, shape and texture, Jacob's illustrations bring a playful energy to the story. The lead image places a couple beneath a glowing sky filled with sparks, setting the tone for a feature that blends science, curiosity and human connection.
