The artwork accompanies Silvia Moreno-Garcia's reimagining of H.G. Wells' classic tale. At the centre of Misha's cover is Carlotta, holding an animal skull - hinting at both the brutal experiments shaping the story and her own connection to the hybrids that inhabit it.
Misha looked to the tensions running through the book; Carlotta sits within a rigid geometric frame inspired by colonial Mexican haciendas, hemmed in by the dense Yucatán jungle and the watchful eyes of hybrids beyond. Above her, a syringe hangs like a threat, a visual nod to Doctor Moreau's relentless pursuit of scientific control. The result feels carefully constructed, yet unsettling.
